Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Books That I Read That Were Outside Of My Comfort Zone

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's list is...
Top Ten Books That I Read That Were Outside Of My Comfort Zone

I really don't have a "comfort zone", I'll give pretty much anything a chance, so making this list might be hard, and I might not get a full 10 books listed her. But I'm going to try.

Honestly, by the time I started hearing about these books I was a little sick of vampires but I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did!
I'm not a fan of Shakespeare but I actually enjoyed Hamlet quite a bit more than his other works.

The DOME is quite a bit of sci-fi, not a favorite genre of mine, but it was quite enjoyable and I'm glad I gave it a try.

This is written in verse, something I'm not a fan of, but I didn't end up minding it all that much.
A book about talking animals isn't really my cup of tea, not since I was 7 anyway. I can't say I really loved this book, but the message was meaningful.

Okay, so five book are all I can think of. Like I said, I'll try any book at least once.

What books have you read that were outside of your comfort zone? Did you end up loving them or hating them?

I felt the same way about Because I am Furniture. I am not a husge fan of books in verse, but was fine for this book. Here is my list http://wp.me/pzUn5-F9

Animal Farm made my list too. I was so curious as to how this could be about talking animals and not a kids book. Hoowee! Yeah there was a message alright. It's got me to thinking I should probably read more message-y dystopian books like 1984 and Fahrenheit 451.
